Sanjeev Kumar is a strategic technology leader recognized for technical innovation and proven leadership in high-growth environments. He is currently working on a stealth-mode startup that leverages the latest AI technologies to address critical business challenges.

Previously, Sanjeev was a Senior Director of Engineering at Uber, where he successfully modernized the company’s infrastructure and transitioned it to a robust multi-cloud and multi-region setup. His leadership dramatically improved system reliability, productivity, and efficiency. His responsibilities encompassed critical platforms including Compute, Networking, Workflows, Cloud Infrastructure, and Foundations.

Before that, as Director of Engineering at Facebook, Sanjeev led key platforms from the company’s early days. These included platforms for messaging and video products, core systems managing all Facebook services, exabyte-scale storage systems, and software architecture enabling Facebook to serve users from private cloud regions across the globe.

 As a Senior Staff Researcher at Intel, he pioneered innovative technologies including Hybrid Transactional Memory, significantly advancing multi-core processor capabilities. He also developed the influential and widely-adopted PARSEC workload benchmarks.

 Sanjeev holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University, an M.S. from Indiana University, and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai (all in Computer Science).
